A 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck Lombok, the province of West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, at 18:46 WIB on 5 August 2018. The earthquake was predicted to cause tsunami, but the tsunami warning was revoked and stated that it was over, soon afterwards. Residents were advised to remain calm and not panic, as stated by the Head of BMKG Pusat, Dwikorita Karnawati "Although the highest wave predictions are only half a meter, but we ask the public to steer clear off the beach and look for a higher place. Try to stay calm and not panic," Jakarta, Sunday (5 / 8).
